During the IALI General Assembly, the tasks of labour inspectorates worldwide in relation to the management of the pandemic were also discussed. The Polish labour inspector community was represented by: Katarzyna Łażewska-Hrycko, the Chief Labour Inspector, and Michał Wyszkowski, Deputy District Labour Inspector in Poznań. The IALI Action Plan for 2021-2024 was adopted, with planned activities centred around the six core objectives of the Association:
providing a professional basis for a strong, modernised and effective labour inspection worldwide;
promoting the profession of a labour inspector and the interests of labour inspection;
participation of the IALI in formal and informal partnerships and alliances with related organisations and in specific projects promoting decent work worldwide;
development of cooperation between labour inspectorates at a regional level;
providing information to members and facilitating member initiatives to improve the quality of labour inspection services;
facilitating access to technical expertise in the field of labour inspection at international level.
Joaquim Nunes, the representative of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), announced that in 2022 the ILO plans to adopt specially developed guidelines on the operation of labour inspections.
